Includes multiple letters from Carrie Jenkins Harris. Harris suggests it is possible for Cridler to "certainly get the Congressional nomination, and later the Senate" in West Virginia. Her plan is "to get the influence of Southern R.R., the coal interests, and the Standard Oil Co. behind [Cridler]. She will also send "to every paper in [Cridler's] Congressional district a series of letters showing what [Cridler is] doing to advance the material welfare of [his] state."

Includes a final group of letters between Harris and Cridler. Cridler warns Harris her "letter shows traces of venom" and she must be more careful with what she says and still more careful with what she writes.
